How do I restore 400 years of ancestors that were removed from my tree?

Check the change log on the page (person ID or PID) where the ancestors had been attached. In the change log you will see the detached PID. Also examine any other changes. Re-attach the detached PID, if that still seems appropriate.
On the web interface, the change log is in the right sidebar (or hamburger menu if the browser window is too narrow to show the sidebar). On the mobile app, the change log is in the PID menu, second page.

disappearing ancestors
What do I do when 400 years of ancestor research has been wiped from my tree. The one person that was added by someone wiped about 30 ancestors from my tree. I know the Henderson Tree was correct . It really has made me not want to continue if I'm wasting my time on research.

Change logs can be confusing, but they are nevertheless the key to retrieving the "lost" branch.
In most cases, it's simply not possible to delete a profile from Family Tree, so trust us, all of those people are still there. They most likely have just been detached from where they belong, although some profiles may have been "merged away" or "hijacked". All of these actions leave clear trails in change logs, and can be repaired.
I suggest you go to a profile that you know has lost its correct parents or spouse, click "Show All" in the Latest Changes section on the right of the details page, and then search the page (CTRL-F in Windows) for the word "relationship". If you click the word "Reference" next to a relationship, you'll get a list of changes to that type of relationship. If the current relationship is different, then the previous ones will have a "Restore" option. You'll probably need to fiddle with sources and conclusions on at least one or two profiles before everything gets back to where it needs to be, which gets tedious, but none of the data is lost. It's just misplaced.
