New York Naturalization Part F--Surname Change

The applicant's surname changed from Sorbo to Di Carlo as a result of marriage. Should I index it as Rosa Sorbo In the Given Name field or Sorbo Di Carlo in the Surname field like in Parts D & E?

    Answer: Sorbo Di Carlo in the Surname field.

    We see that she entered the country under her maiden name and 2 years later she married.

    The batch instructions say to follow the general guidelines for this case. The general guidelines states:  Type the maiden name before the current or former surnames. A maiden name was often indicated by the words “née” or “born as.” A maiden name may also have been written in parentheses.
