I am worried that many genalogy groups in FB are claiming that it can be done, that through a genalogy tree can reach all the way to Adan. I have always thought that it cannot be done. However I might be wrong. I hope I can have an answer that will make clear, for me, if that is possible or not.

Thanks,

There are no proven genealogical connections between any living people and those of ancient times, with the exception of some descendants of the philosopher Confucius. It is not possible to trace back to ancient Rome or Greece, or Biblical times. Perhaps the oldest known family tree in the western world is that of the British Monarchs, who can trace their lineage back to Cerdic, born circa 519.

Naturally people like to claim descent from royalty, and in earlier times it was popular to publish family trees showing descent from gods. You will see various claims on the internet of lineages going back to ancient Rome or Israel- some are plausible but impossible to prove, many are outright lies.
