Often first names are abbreviated. Examples include Wm, Saml, etc. The last letter is sometimes offset upward and underlined. Please consider adding that kind of letter (offset upward and underlined) to the set of "International Characters" that are available so we can actually type what we see in the document. Thanks.

A superior or superscripted letter isn't an international character. It's a normal letter that's just written in a way to show it's the last letter in an abbreviated name. International characters are distinct letters used in some languages and are part of that language's actual alphabet. We just type the superscripted letter as a regular letter. Alex with a superscripted r would be indexed Alexr. Sam with a superscripted l would be entered as Saml.
