Volunteering for standardized Places
There is a column in the Death Place that shows the word DECEASED which we are not able to chance it. Because of that, even we made the death places standardized, the red ! is still there on the person's detailed page. I think it will a good idea if we can have an option added on the volunteering page to remove the word DECEASED, so that the exclamation mark won't be there anymore.
I am attaching two screenshots. One shows the word DECEASED on the volunteering page, the other one shows the exclamation mark is still on the same person's page after we standardized the Places.

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
You appear to be "Volunteering", in the "Improve Place Names" facility/feature/function, of 'FamilySearch'.
'Thank You', for your service, in volunteering your valuable time, to improve the "Place Names", in 'FamilySearch'.
This "idea" (ie. 'Feedback') of yours, in the 'Topic' of "Other", of the "Ideas" Section, obviously stems from "Volunteering", in that "Improve Place Names".
FYI
Please be aware that ...
In "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' ...
For Individuals/Persons ...
In the "Vital" Section ...
Under the "Record" of "Death" ...
We DO NOT, at ANY stage, enter/input, the "Word" of "Deceased", the 'Date' Sub-Field.
That 'Date' Sub-Field REQUIRES a 'Date'.
IF, an individual/person. is believed "Dead"; and, the "Date" of "Death" is "Unknown"; THEN, the 'Date' Sub-Field is SIMPLY left as "Blank" (ie. NO 'Date').
And ...
IF, an individual/person is recorded as "Deceased"; and, there is NO 'Date' of "Death", in the 'Date' Sub-Field, the "System", AUTOMATICALLY assigns, the "Word" of "Deceased", in that 'Date' Sub-Field.
As User/Patrons, we DO NOT, at ANY stage, enter/input the "Word" of "Deceased", in the 'Date' Sub-Field, when either,
(1) Working in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; and/or,
(2) "Volunteering", in the "Improve Place Names".
As an aside ...
I just took a 'look' at the individual/person 曾英永夫人 ...
[ Name. Translation. Chinese to English = Mrs. Zeng Yingyong ]
The individual/person 曾英永夫人 is an OLD record, that was brought over to "Family Tree", from the forerunner to "Family Tree", being "New.FamilySearch".
The "Record" of "Death", originally, appears to have been "Blank" (ie. NOTHING, NO 'Date'; and/or, 'Place').
The "Record" of "Death", was "Changed", in 2016 to:
(1) 'Date' Sub-Field = DECAESED ... [ ie. The "Word" of "Deceased" ]; and,
(2) 'Place' Sub-Field = 中国 ... [ Translation. Chinese to English = China ]
https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/changelog/9D1W-9Z9/death
That 'Date' Sub-Field, with the "Word" of "DECEASED" would NOW evoke a "Data Problem" (ie. 'Red' "Exclamation Mark").
The 'Place' Sub-Field of 中国 ... [ Translation. Chinese to English = China ], is acceptable; and, could have remained, 'as is', 'in situ'.
IF, while "Volunteering", in the "Improve Place Names", there was an option/opportunity, to CORRECT, that "Data Problem" (ie. 'Red' "Exclamation Mark"), in the 'Date' Sub-Field, with the "Word" of "DECEASED"; THEN, I would humbly suggest, that it would have been better, to SIMPLY "Delete", that "Word" of "DECEASED", in the 'Date' Sub-Field, rendering that 'Date' Sub-Field ; as, "Blank" (ie. NOTHING, NO 'Date'; and/or, 'Place').
Whereas ...
IF, while "Volunteering", in the "Improve Place Names"; and, there was NO option/opportunity, to CORRECT, that "Data Problem" (ie. 'Red' "Exclamation Mark"), in the 'Date' Sub-Field, with the "Word" of "DECEASED"; but, the 'Place' Sub-Field' was "Standardised"; THEN, I would humbly suggest, that one should "Skip" that particular "Record".
Furthermore
SIMPLY "Deleting", that "Word" of "DECEASED", in the 'Date' Sub-Field, would "Remove" the "Data Problem" (ie. 'Red' "Exclamation Mark").
Hence ...
Initially, in relation to this "idea" (ie. 'Feedback') of yours ...
I would also humbly suggest, that at NO stage (including, in the "Improve Place Names") do we need the option/ability, to enter/input, the "Word" of "Deceased", in the 'Date' Sub-Field, under the "Record" of "Death", in the "Vitals" Section, for an individual/person, in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
Whereas ...
Taking another 'tack', in relation to this "idea" (ie. 'Feedback') of yours ...
I would also humbly suggest ...
IF, while "Volunteering", in the "Improve Place Names"; and, there was a NEED, to CORRECT, a "Data Problem" (ie. 'Red' "Exclamation Mark"), in the 'Date' Sub-Field; ESPECIALLY, where the "Word" of "Deceased" has been recorded, by a User/Patron; THEN, there SHOULD be the option/ability, to "Delete", the "Word" of "Deceased", in the 'Date' Sub-Field, under the "Record" of "Death", in the "Vitals" Section, for an individual/person, in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; thereby, removing the "Data Problem" (ie. 'Red' "Exclamation Mark") altogether.
Just my thoughts.

Just to add a bit of detail, let me say that the only purpose of the volunteer program is to add a standardized place name where it is missing. Vital data is entered as:
- Displayed Date
- Standardized Date
- Displayed Place
- Standardized Place
If the Displayed and Standardized data are the same, only the Displayed shows. If the Standardized Place is missing, the match, hint, and search routines don't work so that is why the purpose of the volunteer program is to add it when a profile only has a Displayed Place.
If you would like to remove the date data problem and can see it on the volunteer page, you can right click on the person's name to open the summary card then left click on the name on the summary card to open the details page in a new window, correct the date, then go back to the volunteer project without loosing your place.
