Improvements to be user friendly needed
I am finding a lot of pages that will not download. I get a black page with an error message at the top. EX: Calloway Co, KY 1830 cen pg 54. I have a Mac computer. Perhaps your format is not working with Mac like it used too. You do not have a place to report issues on the page that is a problem. Something at the side would allow for quick access while still being able to see what you need to report.
This issue isn't consistent. I was doing a search for a person on a page which would not download before and another issue occurred. This time the person was not findable. It did not even recognize the name this time. I put in another name I found previously and clicked pages over to find him. When I tried this time the download worked. When I went back to get the 2nd page of the other person that didn't work last time it didn't work again.
Next issue: When I leave for awhile and come back and I reset and try another search it blinks out and comes back to the previous page I had on before as if it is refreshing the old page.
The search results are scrambled. There will be census records, civil war records, a few marriage records, census records, marriage..... The search does not bring up all of the most likely first. i.e. If I put in John Smith, Kentucky, it should bring up all John Smith's in Kentucky first. Instead I get John Smith, John Doe, j Smith, John Ramsey, and then it starts mixing up all sorts of states even with the check mark beside Kentucky.
My last request is that you let me have my own tree that people can't change to incorrect items. The whole system is confusing and I don't even know where my original tree is. I have just quit adding anything. I just get upset when it gets changed to something else that is wrong. I use documents and some of those are not in my possession, for my proof and they are not all on this site. Other people just think it's close and put it up there.
Please help make this site user friendly again. Thank you

Hello D. Byrd,
The problem that you are experiencing could be that you need to clean out your cookies and temp files. Please follow the steps below to see if this will help.
FamilySearch is a Wiki program, meaning that all your deceased ancestors are accessible by others, as these are their people as well. When changes are made to an individual in the program, you are able to see who made the changes by looking in the "Latest Changes" box to the right of the details page. By clicking on their name, you are able to contact them to find out their reasons for the change.

Cookies are small pieces of code that FamilySearch and other websites store on your computer. Using cookies allows FamilySearch to customize your experience for you. You can often solve the problems like the following by deleting the cookies stored on your computer:
- Your computer does not respond quickly and efficiently execute your commands.
- Data on FamilySearch displays poorly or not at all.
Steps (website)
- Go to https://familysearch.org/cookies.
- When the Reset your cookies? appears, click Yes.
- (Optional) Reset your cookie preferences, if you do not like the default choice. Instruction are listed in the related articles, below.
Note: This feature only removes FamilySearch cookies from your browser.
Steps (mobile)
The FamilySearch mobile apps do not use cookies.
If, however, you access the FamilySearch.org website on a mobile device through a browser, the cookie preferences are used. You can delete them as described for the website.
Steps (Family Tree Lite)
Family Tree Lite does not yet support deleting cookies.

I not only cleared out all cookies, data, cache..... of FamilySearch but my whole Foxfire. I wanted a fresh start. I just tried my clean slate and when I clicked on a previously downloaded object it did go but when I clicked on the picture of the page icon for the information it blinks very quickly like before. I don't believe it is me or my Mac. I do not have these issues elsewhere. I sent a report today that with some experimenting I found that some links to an image give me the black page with there is an issue with the image when I try to download it. However, when I clicked on the next choice (different page) I did get to download and could actually arrow over to the first one and download it. That tells me it is the link from the choices to the page that is at issue. The blinking from the other icon seems to be on a lot of the pages that I have tried.
As far as others messing things up on the tree I started, I'm done with adding. I don't want to waste my time and energy being mad at people.

I am still having issues with searching for documents in a group and some with download and some will just have a black page with an error message that the page is corrupt. If I go back later, it works.
