I would like to view the images that are unavailable via Family Search to extend my family tree. My I suggest that you consider a Zoom portal link to the 3rd floor research liberary so that others like myself in Los Angeles can view the documents to validate the links and sources. without having to be in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Unfortunately, this would a violation of contracts that FS has made with the owners of records.

If the records are only on microfilm, then you must view the physical microfilm yourself. Unfortunately, it is now too expensive for FS to distribute microfilms around the world. So you have to go, or pay someone to go, to the FHL in Salt Lake City.

If a record owner founds out that FS was breaking the terms of the contract, not only would they cancel it and probably order FS to destroy the microfilms, FS's reputation would be ruined and it may lead to a snowball effect, with other record owners cancelling their contracts en masse because they no longer trust that the terms are being adhered to.

What records are you trying to view? Someone on this forum may have expertise on the records or region you are researching and know if there are other websites with the records you are looking for.
