I am reviewing a VA marriage record w 18 line items from two different pages. The bottom 9 are repeats of the top nine but in different handwriting. Do I just go ahead and verify them or return the batch?

I would delete the 9 duplicate entries and then go over the 9 that are left to make sure all information was indexed correctly and completely.

Charles City is a County and listed as such on the bottom record. The Marriage License City and Marriage City needs to be deleted on each entry. (Check the field helps). (You can do that globally by making the first one blank and using the copy text forward tool). Then Entries 10 through 18 need to be deleted using the trash can icon. Then you can submit the batch.

It is a difficult question to answer without seeing the batch. Please provide the batch code which is the sequence of letters and numbers in the brackets after the title above the red line on your screen.

    Thanks for sharing your batch.

Each couple's marriage information needs to be indexed only once for us to make the index to get researchers to this image. So you would carefully compare the two records, in case there are slight differences and so you can index the most complete information.

Thank you, that makes sense. Since I’m just reviewing an already indexed batch what is my next step?
