I am 58 years sold and found out my maternal grandfather adopted my mother
I am not sure how to change or what to call that relationship. Also found out my mother gave up a child for adoption before I was born. I notice there are tools related to facial recognition. Would thee be a way to find my long list brother somehow. Mom and dad are both deceased and nobody seems to know anything. We do have and old photo album with pictures of a man who may have been my half brothers dad. I know it's a long shot but thought I'd ask someone's opinion. I've never done 23 and me but my sister did.
Thanks for any suggestions. Also, I know there are some duplicates and errors on my family tree that I need to figure out how to correct.

I am also adopted. There will be two birth certificates for your brother. One will be in your mothers name and one adopted name. There is also a register for looking for adopted people. Also the salvation army do tracing for relatives but you would need to get information from the first certificate. It is also possible on family tree to do the two family trees should you wish to do so.

Dear AnnMarie
Would you have any information at all Surnames Maidenames?
Location? e.g. likely county and/or registration district.
If so, Have you considered using GRO and/or FreeBMD to gather some clues?
https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl
Both of these sites can be of assistance at times to try to identify birth records from the Government's official records.
Wishing you good fortune as you work on this situation to find links.

Facial Recognition is not suitable for adoption cases, but DNA is.
