1860 census not indexed in this town, all say illegible
Anything I can do for this? Just wanting to attach the source to my family (John Park) but I'm sure lots of other families would like to be findable :)

After looking at the Edit process here - I would recommend holding off on any editing changes. Indexing should do an Indexing Project for these pages in Oberlin.
Page 88 of 400 matches the page you sent the screen image of. This will be much easier if they had an indexing project setup for Oberlin - to get these indexed 'again'. I am going over to Community> Q&A > indexing

Setting up a new indexing project on FamilySearch is a much, much bigger deal than that, @genthusiast 1. They're not even possible at the "entire state" level, never mind the "several pages" seen here.
For the current/original index, the search page says "All data and images have been provided by Fold3." So it's not originally an index done by FamilySearch, or only as a joint project with someone else (likely Ancestry).
I think this is not an error at the indexing level, but at the attachment-to-image level: now that the first [illegible] [illegible] has been corrected to Mary A Williams (which is on image 50 of 54 under Oberlin), all of Oberlin after image 3 and the first 11 images of La Grange Township show the same Mary for their first entries on the Image Index tab. (It's images 42 to 103 on Film # 005170598.)
It's all very weird, and I don't know who can fix it.

@WendiWilcken , Julia Szent-Györgyi is correct that getting an indexing project set up for a portion of a record set is not an easy task. And, when the index came from another website, you'd have to contact them to see what they can do.
Since you found the image that shows your ancestors, you have 2 work-arounds you can use if you can't attach it as a source in the normal fashion.
You can click Source Box -- in the top-right of the image viewer. This adds the page to your source box. Then you can attach it to whoever you want to from your Source Box.
You can copy the URL of the page and use it to create a source for an ancestor.
I'll give you links to 2 Help Center articles that explain attaching a source from source box and creating a source from the URL. If the steps are not clear enough, let us know and we'll type out the details for you.
