Hi All

I have just started tracing my family ancestry. Before I knew virtually nothing, but now have quite a lot of information.

Plus traced a 2nd cousin!

I was wondering if anyone has a connection to two of my great grandfathers?

William Brown born 1856 Stanley Common, Ilkeston. Died 1910. Married Elizabeth Cotterill born 1860, died in the 1940s.

And.

William Mills Born 1961 West leake. Married Edith Bootheway, born 1863 Gumley Leicestershire.

I would be grateful for any information.

Thanks for your help

Chris Brown

    Christopher,

Do you live near a Family History Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints? Family history centers provide a variety of services to help you discover your family:

    • Help to use FamlySearch.org and other websites and computer tools for family history.
    • Help with family history research.
    • Free access to family history websites that normally require subscription fees.
    • Access to some of the restricted, digitized microfilms on FamilySearch.

Here is a link to an article that will help you discover is there is a center near you. There may be issues because of Covid, but if so, we can hope that will change soon.

We did a search and found some records of William Mills and Edith Bootheway on Ancestry.com. There may be additional information to add to your record in Family Tree.

Also, the Family History Library in Salt Lake City offers a free consultation and a free look-up service that you may be interested in. Here is a link to their website.

We hope these options will be helpful to you as you search for more information about your ancestors.
