Correcting misinformation on locked individuals of historic importance.
I've noticed the immediate families of some historic figures like the Signers of the Declaration are locked which is a very good idea. Unfortunately a few of these trees have errors that are spreading rapidly on Ancestry and other sites. One example is the Robert Morris SDI from PA family. A daughter named Christine was added and his actual daughter Hettie who married James Markham Marshall was removed. He did not have a daughter named Christine. A second Charles was also added even though his real son Charles who died at sea and never married was already in the tree.
Although I am not a direct descendant, I have run across a few people who show up in a Descendants of the Signers' facebook group who are so excited and want to join the organization. I feel sorry for some of them who are disappointed, but some people get angry and cite family search as proof of a connection.
Since the records on you tree are locked I think only an authorized member can fix this issue.
