Will the indexing I do now be added to a group's total when my join request is accepted.

When you join a group, I believe that the only totals that are added are the ones going forward, it does not add in historical records.
So, with every new group you join, your total in that group begins at 0. For example I am in a very small group that started in April, but, the group did not receive my personal total amount of records that have accumulated over the past 7 years.

When you started doing indexing in your ward and stake your indexing totals were automatically added to the groups totals beginning at that time. Is this not happening?
"Note: Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are automatically added to the ward and stake groups where their membership records are assigned. A current ward or stake member may not appear in a group for two common reasons:
- The member has not done any indexing.
- The person's membership record is not assigned to your correct ward or stake." https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-join-an-indexing-group

My indexing totals are not included in my ward's group total.
I am not a member of my ward's group. I searched and found my ward's group it is a sub group of my stake's group. Both groups had a "Request to Join" button, which I pressed. Now the button is disabled and says "Request Pending".
My totals are not included in my ward's group because my total for this month is greater than my ward's monthly total.
In the list of groups to which I belong, my ward is not listed.
My membership record is associated with my ward.

I am simply a volunteer, and not a member of the Church. But, for the purposes of indexing I am associated with a Ward, a Stake, and several other community groups. Once a Group Administrator sees your request, you will be accepted. A few groups and one ward that I have joined started with 0 and the numbers have grown from there. Once you are approved in a group and do one batch, you will be able to see the number added into the group.
I hope that helps, but, I am sure a moderator, who are all Church members, might be able to provide better information.

May we have the name of your stake group? We would like to check this out.
Some reasons you may not be listed in your stake or ward indexing group may be that you have recently moved and the ward clerk does not have your membership records yet. It may be that your name is incorrectly entered in the membership records. If either of these is the case you need to check with your ward membership records and see if you are listed correctly. Could either of these be the reason you are not listed?

Ok for the interest of who ever reads this. After trying about everything in the book we decided to switch up browsers since it did not make any sense. It was quirky. In my experience quirky usually means housekeeping needs to be done which finally dawned on me. When the browser was switched then it all came together like it was supposed to and now the stats should show up as they are supposed to do.
