When I try to do Beginner Indexing, it says that there are no batches found. How do I fix this?

There are no beginner batches available in English right now. You might look at some of the intermediate batches. If you don't like what you see you can send the batch back.

Some of the intermediate batches are fairly straight forward as long as you read the instructions.

There are 2 typed projects right now which are good for beginners.

United States—Enlisted and Officer Muster Rolls and Rosters, 1916–1939 [Part J]

    US, New York—Naturalization Records, 1820–1991 [Part E]

Possibly your friend has access to review batches as well as indexing so more batches are showing up. Are you up to reviewing yet? Was your friend searching all languages perhaps? There are Beginner projects in Italian and Portuguese plus 1 in English.

In fact, on the Find Batches form if I select Difficulty Level as "Beginner" only and Language as English the only project that comes up is Liberia - 2008 Census [Part M] - it is 97% complete for indexing and I could not download a batch (Index button greyed out) but 75% complete for reviewing and batches available for reviewing.

I hope you can find a project you like, as @Dellory Matthews and @LarryClark43 say there are Intermediate projects that you could try and just return them if they aren't to your liking
