Correct sexe in spanish indexation
There is a LOT of indexing errors with latin/spanish birth certificates on the sexe of the child.
I understand it can be difficult to see the difference between a 'a' or a 'o' in hija / hijo. Although often it is written clearly varon o mujer.
Regardless, although a lot of fields can be corrected in the indexation, this one field cannot be corrected. Given this is a very popular mistake, This must become editable at least on birth certificate indexing.

@Igor Defaye I don't know about fields 'becoming' uneditable - do you have an example index - or are you talking about published indexes when Searching Records? The answer will depend upon whether there is a current Indexing Project or if you are referring to a published collection.
If it is a current Indexing Project: The fields SHOULD be corrected by Reviewers of the Project. Once the Indexer submits the batch it goes to a Reviewer that correct any errors.
If it is a published collection: You are right - unless the Project allows for Researcher editing of the Index - there would need to be another Project agreement to create a new/corrected index.
