resolving disagreement with patron, adding father of William Payne LDTC-SHQ
I have been trying to work with a patron who keeps removing the father of William Payne. I have sent messages, with no response. I have added sources. Today, one of them was removed. I feel like I am just stimulating anger.
Is there anything that I can do to resolve the issue. Here are the messages that have received no response:

9:45 AM Dear Stephanie,
I, too, am a descendant of William Payne. This William is my 6th GG. Do you think we can work together on this, rather than changing it back and forth? My e-mail is adgedge@gmail.com. I can send you my notes that way.
Sincerely,
Alice Gedge
1:41 PM Dear Stephanie,
I wanted to let you know that I just added William Payne (1692-1776) father again.
I really think that we ought to discuss this privately and come up with something that satisfies us both.
Sincerely,
Alice Gedge (adgedge@gmail.com)
4:18 PM Hi Stephanie,
Can we please compare notes?
Thank you,
Alice Gedge

Stephanie,
Perhaps this will help you know a little bit about my line. Here is the file that my sister had, before she passed away. Please look at the NOTES.
Sincerely,
Alice Gedge

If it will help, Stephanie, I made a source out of my sister's notes.

Stephanie, I sure wish we could compare notes.

Stephanie, it sure is difficult to come to a satisfactory conclusion for both of us when we cannot communicate.
Sincerely,
Sister Gedge
-- I think each time Stephanie had removed the father, and I added it. I have learned that it is good to correct things right away.
Suggestions?

I don't see there is anything you can do except to keep on adding back William's father until Stephanie finally loses interest and quits this annoying behaviour.
I have similar problems with another user adding a marriage to an ancestor, roughly every three months. Sometimes he responds and half apologises, but on other occasions he just ignores my message. Either way, he is very persistent and it does become a little tiresome, as you are finding.
Funnily enough, I also have problems with my PAYNE family (including a William), of Suffolk, England. They are regularly confused / merged with other Payne individuals who lived in other parts of England, so I have regular work to carry out on that branch, too.
Unfortunately, Support will not be able to help here, as they consider this type of incident has to be resolved by users. Try not to get too worked up about this, as many other users experience similar problems. Very annoying. though, when not even a reason statement is provided for her action, let alone a response to your polite messages.

Suggestion: I noticed that the source citations for William-the-contested-father's will from 1697 and the son William's birth in 1692 are only attached to the son currently. Attach them to the father as well, and for good measure, edit the relationship between them and attach the sources there, too.
There's a lot less supporting documentation for the mother, and yet she leaves her alone... I think that's a good indication that there's nothing rational going on here.

I wonder if it would sway Support to intervene if we suggested detaching and abandoning these profiles and re-creating them with different IDs. It'd be a project: there are other contributors who would need to be contacted so that they could update their offline records and Following lists. (Dunno if it'd help: would "stephanie" notice if the family was no longer connected to the rest of Family Tree?)

I have a feeling that it would just irritate him or her. I saw one of the reasons was signed Ty. So it is possible that Ty is just using Stephanie's account or e-mail. I will just do as I have been doing, adding William Payne back in as the spouse to Elizabeth Pope. I don't understand because the records are so clear. "Stephanie" has been removing my sources from the source list, so I put them into Memories. I hope that is OK.
I am very grateful for your suggestions and for Paul's response.
