How to recover previously compiled family tree.
A couple of years ago, I registered with FamilySearch, and began compiling my family tree. Since then, due to loss of computer, together with loss of log-in details, I have had to create a new account. I would dearly love to recover the data which I previously compiled. How is this possible?
Thanks in advance.

We are sorry to hear you are not able to log back in to your previous Family Search account. But you can rest assured that any and all information you previously added for a deceased person, is still on that universal tree. Which means, if you can not recover or reset your user name and password, then you just need to reconnect yourself to the closest deceased ( which you can find by name), by their PID number .
It is always better to try to regain access to your previous account, as if it had information for living folks, those folks will have to be re-added. Also any memories you added to living could be lost.
To recover your access to Family Search. I forgot my FamilySearch password or username.

Assuming you used the Family Tree program (and did not enter your tree to the Genealogies section) this might not be too difficult.
Once logged into Family Tree, go to "Find" and enter the details of one of your ancestors - i.e., full name and any spouse and/or parents you feel you would have added. You should be presented with a list of names that match / closely match your ancestor. He / she might not necessarily appear at the top of that list. If you cannot find that person, try using another of your ancestor's or relative's names. Sometimes checking the "Exact" boxes can help, other times you might need to add more or even reduce the detail you have inputted.
However, if you entered your family members to Family Tree they should still be there. If you have created a new account I think you might have to recreate records for any family members who are still alive (hopefully, another user can advise on this issue). However, you should still be able to find any deceased relatives, as their records can be viewed by any user of Family Tree.
The only possible problem I can think of is if another user has "merged" the names you entered with other individuals of the same (or similar) identity. In this case, their details might have been slightly altered, making them rather more difficult for you to identify than if nobody has made any changes to them in the past two years.
Complete the page below, found at https://www.familysearch.org/tree/find/name, and hopefully you should be able to trace the relative(s) you added to Family Tree a couple of years ago:
