When indexing tax records from Canada, is a township the same as a village?

It helps if you copy the Project name with the shared batch code at the end of the name at the top of your batch's page. We can answer more accurately!

I don't know the jurisdictional difference between classification of a village and a township in Canada, but generally as a layperson I would classify them as equivalent - yes. If the Project instructions don't classify a distinction between them I would 'think' either would be sufficient to reference document location fields in the Index.
