I am looking at #43 (above link and below .jpg) and ask for help with translating all the unknown words (columns 2, 5, 7) for baptism of Johann Wilhelm, 22 Oct 1838, Illegit?, father Johann Bernard Kohrman, mother Johanna Schmitz, from Lankern, by Vicar, sponsors Johann Heinrich Schmitz and Johanna Kohrmann. (The parents were married 6 Nov 1838.)

    Hi @cindy gerontes

We appreciate your desire to understand records you find for your German Ancestors and we understand that you need help with translation.

FamilySearch does not have a specific Support team that helps with translating records, however, in the Community, you may want to find and post your concern in one of the Groups that works with German Genealogy. To find specific groups in the Community, please follow the instructions described in the following knowledge article:

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-to-i-join-a-group-in-familysearch-community

This additional Wiki article has a link that will allow you to connect with a group in the Community that can help with translation of records in Germany. Please click the Germany link from within the article...

We hope this information is helpful.

One last thought about translation is a reminder that Google Translate is available on the internet to help translate phrases from many languages into English. This is often a quick way to take care of simple translation concerns. We wish you the best in your continued research efforts. We noticed as we went to the website where you found the record you wish to translate, that Chrome does populate an option to always translate the pages from this site from German to English. Here is a screen shot of what we discovered in the Chrome browser. [We don't know if this option is available through other browsers.]
