How do I sign up 'again' after years of being less active?

Hi Team,

I am helping one of my members to sign back into Family Search. They no longer have the mobile and email addresses they used to sign up in the first instance. Details below: (Deleted) is the birthdate and membership number is (deleted). Now when I go to recover her details using her membership number, it does not match her birthdate, then I am unable to go any further.

CAN YOU HELP PLEASE?

Kind regards,

Dee Brown

    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ And, I happend to be a Member of the Church ... ]

I believe I know the answer to this 'Question' of mine; but, I thought I would just ask to be certain.

Have they ever accessed; or, can they no longer access, their "Church" Account in:

    https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/

    [ Formerly: lds.org ... ]

The reason that I ask is that; as, Members of the Church, we can access 'FamilySearch' (connected to our "Church Membership" number) through our own "Church" Account.

    just curious ...

It also may be advantageous to "Reset" their "Church" Account.

Basically, that way, they get two (x2) jobs sorted in one go.

    Just a thought.

I would suggest going directly through the "Global Support Centre" to do the aforementioned.

As, 'FamilySearch' "Support", will most likely, refer one to the "Global Support Centre".

Just cuts out the middle step.

The best way to find out your answer is to have the member call the Customer Service phone number at 1-866-406-1830. They will be able to help resolve the problem or send them to someone who can. How wonderful to come back to researching your ancestors. Thanks to your member for their desires to connect to her ancestors.

If a Church member's information is incorrect, they first must see their ward clerk who can access Member and Leader Services. All of their information must be corrected on Church records by the Ward Clerk, and then they can go to their church account and FS accounts on line and make sure every detail coincides.
