Puerto Rico Birth and Death Registration dates and locations are not being copied automatically

Puerto Rico Birth and Death Registration dates and locations are being recorded as a "Custom Event" - which is fine, in and of itself - but the dates and locations are not also being copied into the "Birth" and "Death" vitals, which then requires more work from the user, to manually cut and paste the dates and locations.

Please have the user interface treat Puerto Rico Birth and Death Registration dates and locations as also Birth and Death dates and locations in "Vitals".

    @JamesFeeney

    This works the same way with other "registration" sources. I work with birth registrations for England & Wales and experience exactly the same behaviour.

    This is a deliberate design, as the registration might not relate too closely to the event itself. I have found events recorded in the civil registers of England that occurred some months after the birth itself. For example, if my ancestor's birth registration appears in early 1871 the chances are he was born in 1870. I believe these dates going to the Custom Event section (rather than the Birth vital) encourages users to find a more precise date for a birth, as the alternative would possibly lead to an input showing an incorrect year.
