I seem to have my mother as the root person in family search. I'm not really sure how I managed to do it. I can't seem to change it.

I have followed the directions in the help section to change the root person but it hasn't changed it to me.

When I go into settings it shows me as the root person. But unfortunately it has not changed anywhere else.

How can I successfully change the root person?

Understand that you are having problems with the starting person in your tree. Here is the link to the instructions to change the starting person. After making the change we would recommend that you clear cookies and temp files. We will attach the link for clearing cookies later.
