I have a tree on Family Search. My computer skills are almost non existent but I can do a little. It appears some helpers add information to my tree when they find some connections. This is great except in some cases what is added is wrong. I have attempted to remove by going to the person and deleting but I think I have only made matters worse. Currently this is my problem.
John Madison Chandler was added as my great x 2 grandfather. That is wrong. Mine was John M. Chandler and no one knows what the M is his name is for. The helper put him as the son of Robert Chandler and Nancy Mobley Chandler. This is wrong. The parents of my John M are not proven but we think his father was Daniel Dial Chandler and his mother Eliza Winn. For certain it was not Robert and Nancy. However we think Robert and Nancy did have a son named John Madison Chandler and the birth and death dates are very close to my John M. who was born April 27, 1924 and died August 9 1861. He worked for the railroad. My John M was born near Sumter and John Madison Chandler was born or lived for a while in the Turkey section of Williamsburg County. My John M was married to Lillis Jane Winn daughter of Elizabeth Bradley Witherspoon and Thomas Winn. ( Whether or not the Eliza Winn who was John's mother was related to his wife is unknown.
I hope you can understand this. My question is how do I remove John Madison Chandler and his parents Robert and nancy from my tree? Thanks.

Charlene,
Whenever incorrect parents are added to an ancestor in one of your lines, the way to remove them is to delete the incorrect parent-child relationship. That removes the incorrect parents and every generation after them. Then you will be able to add the correct parents.
