Search Capability on Temple Ordinance Completed page
The Temple Ordinance Completed page in FamilySearch need the ability to search by name and Ancestor ID. The listing is great but there is no way to search history. I recently had to re-do ordinances I had done before because they did not show up in FamilySearch on the person. Since family ordinance names are no longer returned and it often takes some time to have completed ordinances show on the person page, there needs to be a way to search the completed list to find specific names we have done. The Options icon where one would expect this function only allows view by ID and by individual ordinances. A search would be much more useful. Thank you

The Completed Ordinances List in the Family Tree App does have the ability to search by name.
The Completed Ordinances List in a browser only offers the option to group by ID
It would be great to offer a search function in the browser Version

It would be really helpful if the 'completed' ordinance list was searchable by name and PID, like other pages in the temple reservation list area.
It would be helpful if the list could be sorted by date and ordinance type too.
It's really hard to manage ordinances now that the ordinance cards get destroyed. Having more features on the 'completed' list could help with that.
Also, why does the list get purged after 2 years?

Now that we never gets cards returned from the temple, it would be really helpful if we could filter our reserved ordinances based on ordinance completed date. For instance if I have reservations and get baptisms and confirmations done, then it is very inconvenient to find which of my cards were just recently kept and destroyed by the temple. If I could have a filter in reservations that either filters on completed ordinance and date or even a filter that can eliminate completed ordinances that would be great. For instance, if I search for Endowments, then it includes those who both have and have not had their initiatory done. If I could eliminate those who do not have initiatory completed, I could more easily find those that just had their initiatory work done. It would be great to have this in the filters without needing to cross reference everything to notifications. The other scenario would be to be able to filter on completed ordinances and then sort by date completed from our reserved list and then this would be very simple.

Please add a feature that allows one to "Search by Name" in the "Completed" list in OrdinancesReady, similar to the same facility in "My Reservations".
It would be very handy. I have several pages of completed ordinances and this feature would save me a lot of time scrolling down through all the pages.
Thank you.

Hi - I am wondering if any consideration has been given to making the 'Completed' ordinance page/tab searchable and filterable, like the other tabs in the 'temple' menu.
other tabs in 'temple' section have search and filter options
'Completed' tab has no search or filter features

I also would appreciate the filter functions to be on the "completed" list as they are on the other reservation lists. It would be very helpful to sort by ordinance, by PID, & by name.

I see you asked two years ago. It is hard for me to not become frustrated because I’ve been in the feedback communities for many years. I know we are lucky to have FamilySearch at all and I do appreciate they work hard. I know and I am thankful. However I feel like sometimes in the church we are told to not complain and to only be thankful. I find that to be wrong. I think it is right to respectfully complain. I think that there is no valid excuse to not implement features that would be relatively simple to implement like the same filters that exist already on other tabs. I know more complex features can take years to build. I support your idea and am frustrated in general that things like this take several years to happen if they ever happen sometimes. I don’t mean to be rude to FamilySearch or start drama but that is the truth. I think instead of moderators spending time to shut down complaining that FamilySearch should move faster on simple requests and moderators if they are reading these posts should only show support. I realize there is no moderator here talking but I I have been contacted by moderators before saying I’m too negative so I feel like I have to preemptively explain myself. I’m frustrated with the whole feedback website frankly. It should be a place where we feel understood and listened to. We should see movement on suggestions we make.

I have been told that Ideas are sent to the appropriate teams for consideration. Requesting a change does not mean that the idea will be implemented. It is unlikely you will get a response from engineering teams in the Community.

Thanks for your reply. I do understand people have the best intentions and are dedicated to doing their best. However, I do feel that many ideas are shared that are great ideas that should be implemented. If it’s complex I understand when it takes years to do. Big things like allowing photos to be uploaded, allowing indexed records to be corrected, and family tree groups to share living (I think it is in beta), are examples of things that took many years after many people started asking for them, but it is understandable these things took years to develop. However many simpler things are asked for here that do not result in any clear and careful discussion to explain to us why engineers or project managers doubt it’d be a helpful feature. If we could sit down with these people as their genuine friends and have a conversation to ensure they truly understand why these simple things we ask for would improve the user experience then I think those in power would and could get them done. The system as it exists makes it easy for good ideas to be ignored because when those in power are alerted to new ideas the mods or whoever does that may not communicate the “why” if the feature well or the engineer or manager may not have encountered the same issue in their personal genealogy efforts so they do not truly understand why it is a pain point and that it is worth changing. I wish I was friends with all the engineers and could just chat endlessly with them while carpooling to work or something like that so they’d really hear me, and if they asked “why does that feature matter to you?” I could explain and be sure I was understood.

i imagine there are many people who would benefit from having the list of 'completed' ordinances searchable, but the structure of the 'community' site makes it hard for people to comment.
topics such as 'temple' are flooded with requests from users that need help with a specific problem related to an individual ordinance, so any suggestions don't spend much time in the visible cue, which gives a very limited opportunity for anyone to read or 'like'.
other 'regular' users and moderators are often very helpful to users like me (which i appreciate very much), but putting suggestions in the community for developers to work on might not really be worth the effort.

As an interested observer, I'm.wondering whether the various FS conferences/events provide any sort of 'user group' space permitting enhancements to be discussed and prioritised collaboratively with the product teams?

The Family Tree app temple completed list and the browser completed list have different options
Family Tree app does allow search by name but does not allow search by ID or download to file.
Downloading to a file allows multiple filter and search options and is extremely fast—for my device and internet speed 3,000 names in a few seconds

Family Search Support,
Would it be possible to make the "Completed" ordinance list searchable like "My Reservations?"
We have 18 pages and sometimes we need to find someone whose work we completed without having to scroll through all those pages to hopefully find them.
As of now, you have to scroll through page after page in order to find a name, and this takes a lot of time.
We have an Excel spreadsheet that we are tracking hundreds of names through to completion, but we don't add their ID number to that list.
We see a lot of improvements on a regular basis and we hope this one might be forthcoming.
Sincerely,
David Buck
