UK, England, Lancashire—Nonconformist Church Records, 1647–1996 [Part B] "restored" people
UK, England, Lancashire—Nonconformist Church Records, 1647–1996 [Part B][MSK7-JB8]
Hello,
I am reviewing this batch and have a few questions:
1. Should most of these be indexed as baptisms?
If so, what to do with individuals who are "restored" - No. 258, 262, 263, 264
The indexer has left them out entirely but I think they should be in based on this instruction
When indexing baptism records, if a date was recorded but not identified, index it as the baptism date....
I don't know what "restored" means and does the date indicate the date they were restored or something else
2. There are a few individuals where a death date is provided as well eg No. 261 and the indexer has created 2 entries for them, one a baptism and the other a burial.
I think this is right but just want to check I am correct.
thanks

We do not create an entry for the death on these baptism records. We are researching for the answer to your question regarding the 'restored' people. Will get back to you when we find out!

We are to index all these records as baptisms even the ones that say 'restored' since we do not know what 'restored' means. Thank you for working on these records! This batch in particular has my husband's family mentioned as 'removed' so I am personally grateful for what you are doing!
