I filled in the first entry to the best of my ability, but, the program won't accept my work. Also, it is insisting I include information that does not appear on the image. The program also asks for information on the next file which is for a burial, wothout providing the image for that. Help! I really want to participate, but am getting discouraged. Also, why is BLANK not an acceptable alternate to No, No Extractable Data? Is there an abbreviation or tool for No, No Extractable Data, or must it be typed out?

I highly recommend two videos for those who are new to web-indexing.

The first is a little outdated, but, the basics are the same:

Getting Started with FamilySearch Web Indexing - Kathryn Grant

The next one is a shorter version of a FamilySearch podcast. The nuts and bolts of indexing starts at about the 8 minute mark.

You can also learn alot by taking the tutorial. Click on Web Indexing, Click on Indexing Help and you will see the Guided Tour.
