Help! The program erased my entries!

I was working on the Virginia Marriages file, which is supposedly due today. Others had entered the first 10-12 entries. I thought I had added maybe 8 more entries when the program erased all of my entries and sent me back to entry 18. Why would this happen? Thanks for any help, Beth Ballantyne

Please share the batch code to get help. It is the sequence of numbers and letters in brackets after the title at the top of your page. You can add it as a comment.

This also happened to me. I had completed 7-8 Very Difficult entries and Only the first on was entered when I looked this morning. It isn't the first time it has happened. what could I do to prevent it. and is there a way to get the partially completed page back

@Barbara Pearl Carter That is a difficult batch! I used the tools and inverted the image and made it a little better, but, that's going to be a tough one!

I think you should try calling (1-866-406-1830) to let them know this happened to you and at least one other indexer. There is nothing you could do to avoid it, and nothing you did to cause it. Your work should have been auto-saving as you entered the data. There is no way to get back a partially indexed batch.

Perhaps a moderator will also be able to report the issue.

I wish they would give us back the ability to manually save a batch. I think the shortcut used to be Ctrl+S, which does nothing now.

As Melissa Himes stated, when a problem like this occurs, please call 1-866-406-1830 so you can have a "hands on" approach to your problem.
