adoption
When you know the information for bloodline parents and adoptive parents, how do you fill out a profile? Do you fill them out with separate person reports which would involve two different ID numbers?

You just enter the person and have two sets of parents like this:
The Preferred check mark controls which set of parents is listed first and which set of parents shows on a pedigree view. When looking at a pedigree such as the standard landscape view, you can switch between sets of parents by clicking on the little arrow in front of them:
(This example was created in beta.familysearch.org which is the proper place for experimenting with such things, not in FamilyTree.)
