FHC Portal, Premium Website, Newspapers.com Publisher Extra content?
Does anyone know off hand if Newspapers.com includes their "Publisher Extra" newspapers on the FHC Portal or just their standard offering?

If you look in the Help Center for Premium websites at a Family History center. this following link appears and explains what premium sites are available through the Portal at a FHC

@genbug08 My question is about a specific Premium site, Newspapers.com. They have two levels of content, their standard and their "Publisher Extra". My question is do we get the "Publisher Extra" or only the their Standard newspaper content at the Family History Centers.

from what the article I sent it looks like just the standard option.. At a FHC you can check to see what is available.

Patrons should read the intro blurb about the website on the Portal and the "About" section of any of the websites. Then they can take a tour of what is offered. Read the "how to use this site" articles, often in the menu or under "Help." Often there are add-ons, but the FHC institutional version is wysiwyg.

I am going to help my daughters who have not done family history for a while to get on the premium websites through the church website. What is the easiest way to do this.? I am signed up for them, so they keep redirecting me saying I am already signed up. I am just trying to find the directions to do it before they come here for me to help as they have limited time. The directions I have found - to go to the FH portal and select premium site options is not successful, because I see no premium site option there- possibly because I am already signed up. I am excited about helping them be able to help me, and it will be so much more efficient if we all have the same access. I don't want to miss this opportunity. Please advise on the most current directions to get signed up. They will have their appropriate information for a membership. Thank you.

@Lezlie Couch, the "Premium" sites that have been referred to in this tread are only available at a Family History Center through the Family History Center Portal.
If you are talking about sites like Ancestry, FindMyPast, MyHeritage, Geneanet, AmericanAncestory etc then your daughters would need to goto familysearch.org, sign-in with their church account, then a the bottom of the page click "Solutions Gallery" then click the "FamilySearch Solutions Gallery" drop down arrow and choose Latter-Day Saints Access" where you will be given instructions on getting a subscription.
IMO you will probably do better sticking with the familyhistory.org only site for awhile before branching into the other areas.
Have fun.

I am in the family history center. I don't know how to login to the portal for patrons. Do they have to create their own account for FamilySearch and each of the sites available through the portal or is there logon information that I am missing.
I am clueless of how to do all the computer access now.
All help greatly appreciated.

@cindiemeincke , When the FHC Portal comes up, you should see something that says something like Premium sites, click that and you will see a Menu of what's available, click one and you're in. If the patron wants to work on their FamilySearch Family Tree then yes they would login to their own account on FamilySearch.org but they do not have to create an account for the Institutional Sites. They may use their own account for Ancestry etc if they wish by logging in with their own personal login. I know that's not too clear, you really need to sit down with someone more experienced at your Center.
