With no one allowed in the building and most people in self quarantine it has been difficult to use the center
Pre pandemic when we had Sister missionaries they set up outside for a Family History event.
No one came. Since then we have learned a lot about how to communicate and get the word out.
But anytime someone is interested we will make the time for them. Jennie Cejka would bring her own laptop (and sometimes her printer) from home just to bypass the unreliable equipment existing in the Center.
We have been operating our little Family History Center for years.
It has not been on the official Church radar, but application has again been made to have it formally recognized by Salt Lake.
We did not have regular hours, but it was opened whenever we could get a member in there to prepare names for the temple.
Normally it was staffed every Wednesday
We are now making plans for a temple baptismal trip.
A lot members in tiis Branch don't have internet or cars.
So their only exposure to FamnilySearch/FamilyTree is through the Branch internet.
Fulton County Pennsylvania was a historic lead off area to the Western expansion of America
The nearest Family History Centers are over an hour away and pending reopening since Covid would be heavily utilized
Our Stake has a goal of 250,000 names Indexed again this year as well as several Temple trips planned which require names submitted by those woithout computer access
