Since I just responded to your previous question about adding a PDF I am guessing you are wanting to attach an application for the new center in Chambersburg. You can attach it to the comment by clicking on the paperclip at the bottom of this comment box.
I hope that will help.

You can't attach a PDF file

The last persons to touch the request are the stake president and facility manager. Have you checked to see if they still have the form? If not, when and how did they submit it? Once that verification is done, follow the paper trail as given in the intro materials at the top of the form.
I hope that helps.

is it possible to check the status of their application..

The request is being reviewed by the committee that approves and funds new family history centers. We are waiting for a response back from this team.

Tell him to be patient. The FHC requests sometimes take a long time to get approved. Often much longer than three months 🤨

Thank you for checking into this. My Stake President member over Temple and Family History Work is concerned since the application was submitted back in June.

Even June is not too far back. We wish as FHC Support that we could give more information, but we haven't the means in support to track the request.

Thank you for your willingness to check. I understand it must take a lot of time to determine if a location can qualify for a Center. It seems as though the Church is utilizing the resources out of the Country for member's there.

Yes, that is true. The Church needs resources, like FHCs, in developing areas of the world where computers, internet, etc. are scarce. Sometimes in North America we feel inconvenienced if we have to drive more than 30 minutes to use the FHC. Often it's better to work with neighboring stakes to have a FHC that serves multiple stakes. This can help with staffing and also creates a busier center. Of course this is easier done where stakes are physically close to each other.

That's the case here. We just split in April creating the Gettysburg PA Stake which has three active FHC's. It was also suggested to become a FamilySearch Affiliate Library

@Frank L Webster Jr I may have already asked you this via email but would it better to combine efforts with the Gettysburg Stake and use one or more of their FHCs rather than create/open a new one?

Gettysburg and Carlisle are both over an hour away from McConnellsburg

Bro Webster.
I got an answer back for your status request for your request. The request for an FHC goes through the Area Authority or through the Area Temple and Family History Consultants who reports to the area authority. Not FamilySearch. They submit the request form and only they can follow up on it. Have your SP get in touch with him and follow up on it through him.
