As a beginner indexer will I be told if I'm making the same error over and over on a project?

You will not receive any feedback on your indexing. What you can do is share your batch with others and allow them to review and critique your work. To share a batch, you need to give a person (or make a post in this group) the batch code which is the sequence of letters/numbers in brackets next to the title of the project. If it is an English project, I am happy to accept private messages to review your batches. To private message a person, you just need to click on their name and then the message tab.

    Happy Indexing!

@IlleneBaures1 you ask a really good question. A few years back there was feedback to tell you how accurately you were indexing, based on the reviewer's (called an arbitrator in those times) assessment. This was great and allowed you to learn from your mistakes because you could see the batch and how the errors had been arbitrated. But this function is no longer, so we just have to whistle in the dark. @Melissa S Himes offer is a good one, take her up on it. Good luck😊

You could also index with friends who can help each other. In each ward of the church there are consultants who can help you with indexing and other family history questions. They would be happy to help!
