Processos matrimoniais, LPM-07-a, 1845-1855 Granite Mountain Record Vault International Digital 4929263

Processos matrimoniais, LPM-07-b, 1845-1855 Granite Mountain Record Vault International Digital 4929264

It says they are available in this centre: Family History Library 35 N West Temple SALT LAKE CITY Utah 84150-9005.

If I go there, can I consult them?

Best regards,

We thank you for using the Community and asking this question. You will need to request in advance of your attendance at the Family History Library. Use this URL: https://www.familysearch.org/family-history-library/microfilm-fiche-and-cds

As stated at this site, you will need to order those items a week in advance.

Good luck in your efforts to request this help.

Looking at the FS Catalog page for film 4929263, https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/1483174?availability=Family%20History%20Library it strikes me as very odd that marriages from 1825-1830 and 1895-1911 are available from home, but those between 1830 and 1895 are only available at Salt Lake City.

It would be highly unusual for the record owner to request such a restriction. The only thing I can think of is that there might be embarrassing information about a famous person or public figure, or about the way the church operated.

I think it would be very helpful if FS could have a look at these records and confirm that the restrictions are correct and in accordance with their contract with the record custodian. It would be very convenient for @Ana Binet to be able to view the records from home.

@Marleci Peixoto This is what I see from New Zealand with a non-Latter Day Saint account.

As I understand it, when there is no symbol in the right column, it means there is no physical microfilm copy, and no access to digital copies through the FS website under any circumstances (not even at FHCs and to Latter Day Saints). It may be possible to view the digital films at the FHL in Salt Lake City, but I'm personally not sure whether that is possible since this is a digital-only film that is not published on the FS Catalog.

With all due respect, this is contradictory to what I have been told previously by FS Staff members, other FS users and my own experience. If the film is viewable at a Family History Center, then a camera and key symbol will appear in the format column. When there the format column is blank, with no symbol, the film is not viewable at either FHCs, Affiliate Libraries or home computers.

Hello , thank you for all responses. From what I have been told. Those records are not in a digital form. Family search web site says I must go to Salt Lake city . As I really need those documents I am ready to go there if necessary. I just want to be sure I will be able to consult them freely. Will I be able to have a copy in any form of the pages that interest me?

@Ana Binet, notice that the catalog description says "International Digital". This tells you that FamilySearch never had a physical microfilm copy of these images. They were captured digitally. When digital content is restricted, being at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City does not remove that restriction for you. So sorry. Here is a link to a Help Center article that explains the lack of a camera icon in the catalog:
