Problems getting the Premium Content to work
All, we know that there are some centers that are having trouble getting the Premium Content to work in their center. I am reaching out to see if there are centers that are not working and see if we can help pinpoint the challenges they are having so we can come up with solutions. If you are having problems in your center will you please respond to this post with the following information:
What is the problem you are having?
What is the IP of your center? (We need the public IP, this can be found by posting https://ifconfig.io/ into a browser window)
What is the Device ID of the computer you are trying to use to access? (This can be found at the bottom of the extension window for a computer that is unable to connect)

Since the portal has been re configured there are some things that the STFHC-FHC leaders need to do to update their computers. It would be best that each FHC leader (director) call into Family History Center support and get hooked up with a tech to make sure that everything is in order with their computers.
First of all the computers in the FHC need to be all Windows 10.
Second there is an Family History Center Premium extension that needs to be added to each computer.
Third there needs to be the tool box added to each computer.
Please encourage your FHC Directors to call in and work with a tech to get the center's computers running the new portal correctly.

@CHold thank you for making that point. I expect anyone replying to this thread had gone through those steps first.

Here are issues we have seen after some testing:
- Arkivdigital - Requires an end user account to use. Thought that it should be using a FHC generic account?
- Fold3 also requires an end user account. Should it start up with some FHC generic account instead?
- Paper Trail also seems to require a private account to work (like above)
- Record Seek Chrome extension was installed and appears for Admin but not for Portal and seems to be no way to add it. So using record seek by patrons is probably hindered.
- After recent updates some configurations items changed that are visible to patrons. We'd like to lock down task bar items and chrome bookmarks also to protect from patrons messing with them. Do we have options to do that? How?
BTW: We were set up very early on the new computer set up and I am not sure if we are standardized fully or not yet. This early July 2019 was done because we had very old computers and could not run the latest browsers and were declared a secutiy risk so they rushed us into new computers before everything was officially released for the new version of windows. We hand added some software that was needed and I am not sure how to keep that in the configurations and visible to Patrons without constand monitoring for pushed updates to the computers. Do you have info on how standard we are now and how to maintain the extra tools we have installed in a way to avoid pushed updates changing them etc?
Thanks,

After loading the extension did you clear the FS cookies on familysearch.org/cookies? The old authorizations may be still there and are now conflicting.
