How can I find relatives who were sioux before the 1890's

I am trying to help and elderly lady here in the UK who has always been told she is descended from Sioux nation. We have been looking for a Solomon Green or could have been Verde, we think he was born in England in 1893 but we have real details of that. Can anyone help please or let me know where I may get the information from

If you have not done so, we invite you to click Search, then Research Wiki, and type Sioux Nation in the search field. You should generate the Wiki Article mentioned below which provides a history of the Sioux Nation as well as other helpful detailed information. Please be aware that the Sioux Nation included Indigenous people in Minnesota, in Montana, in Nebraska, and in South Dakota. As a result, you may need to have more details about what part of the US your friend's ancestors may have lived in.
