White pages date

The white pages batch that I'm indexing has a date of 1909-1910. When I went to submit the batch, it didn't like that. I'm thinking that I should put in 1909 because it's the first year indicated. Here's the batch number: https://www.familysearch.org/indexing/batch/6eb8ffbe-f30b-40d3-9563-7fc10f4500d5

Hi Tara. Except for births, when given a range of dates for an “event” you would use the later/latest date. 1910 in your case. Here is a help article on dates (How do I index dates?) and then the pertinent citation from it.

    • If multiple dates were given for a birth, type the earliest date.
    • If multiple dates were given for other events, type the most recent or latest date.
    • For events except births that include a date range, such as “between February 2 and March 9, 1937,” type the most recent or latest date in the range. For this example, type the month as Mar, the day as 9, and the year as 1937.
