Question regarding probable census error from Liberian record.

On a Liberian census record there is a head of household who is 42 years old with a son who is 36 years old. This cannot be true but the writing seems clear enough that it cannot be interpreted any another way. What should I do about indexing this record?

It could be an error, it could be the son was adopted, or something entirely different. I would just put the information as it is written.

Just remember the hard and fast rule--we type what we see.
