How do I connect my living children to me so that they can see their family line?

My kids are not showing up on my family tree. They want to be able to look at their ancestors but they aren't connected to anyone. They have membership numbers and were blessed and baptised, but my husband is not a member so we aren't sealed. Can someone help?

Thanks,

Janae

How do I add a family member to the pedigree in Family Tree?

Please see the link above. Check you are in the landscape or descendency family tree as the portrait family tree does not show the children. These are in the top right of family tree. You can add any family member to your tree they do not have to be members of the church.

All your children need to do, to see the same --deceased-- ancestors is -in effect- build a bridge of living folks to the closest deceased. (Child adds living parents, then their living parents, then deceased by ID- every thing is linked to the ID, so once that ID is connected to the living child all the ancestors, memories, sources, etc will come with the connection to that ID.

Information for living is private and can only be seen by the person who created the record.

How does Family Tree protect the privacy of living people?

Once the closest deceased is added to the Child's tree then the trees will be the same for ancestors

    Hello Janae Lynn Ku

Your children should add their own Living relations, including you, to their Tree Line. Once they reach a deceased ancestor they can match your Tree line.
