There seems to an error in a source in LZN2-QH1
In the sources for LZN2-QH1 in the 1861 English census.
this source is tied to a person born in the 1820’s but if you look at the source it says James was born in 1801? Wouldn’t this james belong in a previous generation?

You are very observant. Yes in the 1861 census wife is Sarah, who is 20 years younger than James born in 1801
However, In the 1851 Census, where James' birth year is estimated to be 1826, his wife is also Sarah, but she is only 6 year younger than James.
The attached Cranfield, Bedfordshire, England, United Kingdom Christening Record (1828) has a Christening date of 1828.
There are other Christening records with the same information, and also one with a 27 Apr 1828 date for baptism, and this record contains the name of father and first name of mother.
And there is no proof that the Christening date is the same or near the date of birth. k
There is also a marriage record (1850) that has James as 26 years old when he marries, which would make is year of birth 1824.
It appears that you are familiar with the importance of sources. The are vital to give validity to any person added to any genealogical site.
In the case of this puzzle. it is possible there has been an error in the source itself, or in the indexing of that record. It is also possible there is more than one James Garner, who has a wife Sarah. In this case, only more finding of more sources may contain the answer to this puzzle.
Wishing you success with your efforts for good sleuthing -

The United States WWII Draft Registration cards have a front and back side photographed separately and the two images are displayed side-by-side on the screen. I came across one in my research in which the two images do not go together. The front side of the card matched my relative, the back side did not. I wasn't sure if this was something that needed to be reported or if it could be corrected. It did throw me off in my research, however.
This was for William Lunn Anderson Sr. LV8N-938. The source is in his source box.
Thank you.
