    Translation of above question.

    Get my dad's account back

My father passed away on June 23 of this year, he worked a lot on his family history and therefore had a lot of information about his family, including the living ones (dates, places, records and memories) and these are data that would interest us recover since he worked hard to get to that point and we would like to continue with that, however in the neighborhood he attended they gave his death certificate and therefore the account was blocked and we are not allowed to enter.

Is there a way to get his account back so I don't lose all that information?

    I would appreciate your help.

There is no way to recover an account that belongs to a family member after it has been deactivated due to the member's death. However, you can sign in to your own account and find him in Family Tree, connect to him using the +Add Parent feature and then you will be able to see the ancestors that he added. If there are duplicate records for him in Family Tree, you may need to find the one that was identified as his person record in his account.

Here is an article in the Help Center that explains how to add a parent to your family tree record:

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-add-a-parent-in-family-tree

Your person record is the child record in this example. So, you should navigate to your person record in Family Tree and then scroll down to the Family Members section and add your parents. If there are duplicate records for your father, then you should try to select the one that was in his account. If you cannot determine which that is, then you may need to merge any duplicate records until the one with his ancestral tree appears.

As this may be complex to do, please call us at the number for your region and language in the Contact Us page as follows:

    Regards

Note: Information about living persons is difficult to impossible to recover as those records remain private and are covered by the privacy laws adhered to by FamilySearch.

     https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-add-a-parent-in-family-tree
