For Elkader, Clayton Co, Iowa- Oct 1933 court records, but I cant travel to the area (I'm in Michigan) I hoped to get copies of a trial on Martha Renziehausen (1870-1946). It was a committal hearing for my great grand aunt- the final verdict was probably Oct 24, 1933. How can I hire/ find someone to help? I am most happy to pay for time & copying materials, etc just dont know where to start & uncomfortable traveling with this Covid situation.. Thank you to anyone who might be able to help. :-) Ann T. email is dermgood@gmail.com

We assume you have written to that County clerk to see if a transcript of that court proceeding is available to family members, We also just did an internet search for how to get help with genealogy --- and several possibilities came up that might be worth exploring. Also some social media sites also offer some kind of assistance,.

    Good luck with your endeavor.

Thank you! My first time using this community. Years ago I hired a Geneologist- but they said the courthouse fines “couldn’t be found”… so I was discouraged.. I may write the courthouse myself and see if I get any results. Thanks! :-)
