How to index names that are in the same line?
How would one index two names on one line? For example, my batch said something like "John + Joe Smith", but with the + kind of like a greek alpha (α) or mathematical proportional symbol (∝). Having to displace all previously entered information (it looks like I was doing a partially completed batch) seems tedious. I think there should be an option to insert an entry in between existing ones.

Hi Michael. I’ll post the same speculative (without seeing the batch) answer I did when this was first posted in the Indexing Ideas forum. I tried opening the Shared Batch and got “Access Denied.” Maybe one of the moderators can open it. Please mention the name of the Project so that someone familiar with it and having access rights will know to check on it. However, usually an “and” situation like you described earns each of the two individuals his own entry.
Hi Michael. Please do as Brett suggests and post this on the Indexing Q&A Forum. When you do, please Share your Batch information (click on 3rd Horizontal Icon from the Right to see how). That symbol you're wondering about could be a cursive ampersand (&). For accurate help, we need to see your batch. Also, there is a way to add one or more Entries wherever you wish (7th icon from the left - the one with the + sign).

Thanks for sharing your batch. I'll use line 2 as an example. Wm & Ed Robinson. (I agree that the ampersand is not easy to read.)
You would index Wm Robinson and also Ed Robinson.
The project instructions tell us: "If multiple names were recorded on a single line, create a separate entry for each name."
That is found in the 6th bullet under: What to Remember about This Project.
