Access to some documents
Dear Sir or Madam,
First at all, I want to trank you for your amazing job digitalizing and uploading so many archives. My name is Ignasi López-Trueba, I work as a housekeeping manager in a hotel in Brighton, UK. In my spare time, I am a freelance researcher, doing my PhD as a hobby without any support from any public or private institution. My subject of research is about Death and Life in NW Catalonia, 17th and 18th centuries. My main source are wills.
I have been using your website for 4 years, mainly for the notary records of Sarroca de Bellera, Pont de Suert, Salàs de Pallars, Talarn, Tremp, Pobla de Segur and it has been extremely useful. As i said above, I research about Spain but I live in UK, so thanks to your website i could research in archives without traveling to Spain.
No research is never completed and I had some gaps (time and geography) that I would love to fill. I saw that you have the records to fill the gaps, but the access is restricted due copyright condicions. i tried for nearly 2 years to visit the familysearch library in Worthing, near Brighton, but due the covid restrictions has been impossible and I really need to finish my data compilation.
The files I need to consult from you are from Sant Salvador de Toló, Isona, Llimiana, Espot, Claverol, Escart, Montardit, Isabarre and Cervi. I wonder if it would be possible to have access from my home paying a monthly suscription (I am not a wealthy man, all my savings are invested in my PhD). I can provide you references about my research, my Phd tutor and the manager of Arxiu Comarcal del Pallars Jussà (Tremp, Spain), who collaborated with you. I understand the copyright and I will never download any document, I just need to collect the data for my data bases and my graphics.
I will be extremely happy to provide you any further information upon request.
Best regards
Ignasi López-Trueba

Thank you for your post. And thank you for the research you are conducting.
The Help Center article linked below states that the restrictions placed on a record are set by the owner or manager of that record and not FamilySearch. If the records you seek say they must be viewed at a Family History Center, then that is where you will have to go to access them.
If there is a link to the WorldCat website in the note section for the record, click it and see if these records can be viewed in another library close to you. WorldCat shows records from libraries all over the world.
It is very frustrating that the pandemic has closed so many facilities. We encourage you to continue to check to see if the FamilyHistory Library is open yet.
Another option maybe to sign up for a free virtual Genealogy Consultation. Below is a link from the Research Wiki that explains this program. They maybe able to help you in your search for these records.
We hope that one of these options may be of help to you.
