Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Question(s):
Are you referring to; as, an individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'?
Or, are you referring to; as, in the Records (from all around the World) in 'FamilySearch'?
Was, your Son's, ("Deceased") Father, a Member of the Church?
Please advise.
Furthermore ...
You may NEED to enter (ie. "Create") your Son's, ("Deceased") Father, as a NEW individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', if he was NOT already recorded an individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
Whereas ...
IF, your your Son's, ("Deceased") Father, WAS already, an individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; THEN, perhaps, his former 'FamilySearch Person Identifier' (PID) in his 'FamilySearch' Account, when he was "Living", has NOT been marked as "Deceased". IF, such is the case; THEN, he will NOT be 'seen' by ANY Other User/Patron, even IMMEDIATE Family Members.

Thank you, Brett. I figured out how to fix the issue. So I think it is OK now.

FYI
That is great to 'hear'.
'Thank You', for the 'Thank You'; but, there was no need for that ...
That is what this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum was originally established for ...
Users/Patrons, HELPING / ASSISTING, Users/Patrons
And, the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum has been operating that way for a number of Years now.
IF, you, have any 'Questions'; or, would just like to post something of interest; THEN, do not hesitate, that is what this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum is all about.
Again, great news, that you have been able to address/fix the matter.
