On the first page you click add and you have a ton of options. Birth, death, burial, note, life sketch, occupation.. ECT. I think there should be an option for Obituary, there's no convenient place to include them. Some people use the Memory and add Document section, some people add as a source, others yet use NOTE or Life sketch. I think your missing an opportunity here to stream line some of the information and the way it's listed. Just a thought. Thank you for a wonderful app and resource

Birth, death, burial, and occupation are all genealogical conclusions: pieces of data arrived at using one or more sources. An obituary is a type of life sketch or biography: a collection of genealogical conclusions about a person, arranged in a narrative form.

I don't use the Life Sketch section on FS (my hobby being genealogy, not biography), but it seems to be the right place to reference and summarize a person's obituaries. The full texts or images can go in either Memories or Sources. My preference is the latter, but I can see the utility of the former, especially if the obituary has accompanying photographs, and/or if it's from a funeral booklet or similar very-limited-print-run publication, rather than an online or other more public type of source.

I think that adding an "obituary" section in addition to the already-existing Life Sketch would not serve any useful purpose. It would create yet another bit of confusing semi-redundancy, like Notes versus Discussions on the Collaborate tab, or like the profusion of categories and groups and subfora here in Communities.
