Saving Together stories to the tree/Memories
I love the concept of this new feature, but I can’t get past the fact that there is inconsistent or unclear functionality to save any of the content you create to your memories (or other people in my family group). I fear that all this beautiful content is showing in the feed (sometimes) and not being permanently saved to the family tree. I cringe when I see the “Together” splash page touting “Leave a Legacy” and know that the content isn’t being saved to the family tree.
At least when I have typed a “story” and shared it with my family group, it doesn’t get attached to my memories page in our family group. After creating several “together” stories, one showed up in the “Memories App” but there is no way in the memories app to save a memory to a specific living Family Group person. (Issue for the memories app team)
Now while I may not want ALL of the fun feed stories we are creating in Together to automatically be attached to the person Memories page, shouldn’t there be the functionality to save what you want to keep?
I also tested it with a deceased person. And while this story DID get attached to their memories page in FamilySearch it did not show up in the together family group feed, despite being shared with that group. The permissions were changed when being passed to FamilySearch and now show as Private instead of Limited Access to family group. Also regarding this together story “Altheaisms”: I attached a photo to the story in the together app, but it did not pull over to the FamilySearch memories.
Not showing in feed for any family group.
Story arrives in memory page with permission set to private.
No photos when viewed in FamilySearch
To sum up: issues and desired additional functionality to choose which Together stories get saved to Memories in FamilySearch, for both deceased public people, and Living FamilyGroup people.
I would be happy to further test or share more use case images if this is an unknown issue.

@Wendy Allison Rupper Thank you for this great assessment of the issues. You are correct that some of the activities available through Together only save to the feed. Others only save to memories. I will pass on your suggestion of linking the stories as a memory on the living profiles as well. Please keep testing!
