Big Problem with "Conflict Free Data" rating
I've noticed a big problem with the rating of "Conflict Free Data" for certain German records. I repeatedly get a message that the place did not exist prior to 1871, the start of the German Empire! This is false. Before the German Empire, Pomerania (where I do my research) was part of Prussia. I verify all of my place names in meyersgaz.org and then make sure to input them with names that FamilySearch recognizes as "standardized." But many of these standardized names say the places only "existed from +1871 to +1945". This needs to get fixed! For examples, see #G86L-XXT, #GLGK-8TV and #MZ8M-4S2 (this last one, by the way, was an extracted record!).

This score nonsense appears to be treating both the places database and indexes as Gospel, which is just ridiculous: the places database is decades (if not centuries!) away from anything even vaguely approaching a nodding acquaintance with completeness and accuracy, and the one thing that we can take as given about all indexes is that they are full of errors (and incomplete by definition/nature).

This data quality score sidebar is quite useless. It should be abandoned.
