Help Article 914 for FamilySearch Center coordinators
Please update the Help Article 914, ‘Resources for a new stake FamilySearch coordinator’. The Article indicates it was updated October 24, 2024, however, it appears the only updates were to change the Title of the Article from the ‘FamilySearch Center consultant’ to ‘FamilySearch Center coordinator’, and the references in the Article to the title ‘coordinator’.
This Help Article provides excellent instruction for new (and not so new) FamilySearch Center coordinators, in one location.
I realize that there are many resources at FamilySearch for FamilySearch Center Coordinators, including the Community Group, Tech Talk, Center Chatter, The FSC Operations Guide, Helper Resources including the FamilySearch Center Learning Resources, etc., which are all very helpful to understand the processes of the Center.
I also recognize the demands of time for the writers to update the many Help Articles on line at FamilySearch.
Help Article 914 is the specific, direct, and focused Article for the Center coordinator, providing very direct information and instruction for the day to day activities/administration of the Center, and where to look for more, with links to other Articles provided.
Some of the changes/updates would include: Under the heading Training updating the instructions for joining the 2 Community Groups; the instructions for CDOL and Center Tools; the Wiki page instruction/information; the FamilySearch Portal information. These are some of the changes for consideration for this very important Help Article.

Concur. I have found it very beneficial to have a single source with at least the basics of processes and procedures for performing tasks and functions, with links or hints to locations for additional resources. I have never been in favor of "discovery learning" for my areas of responsibility. Great suggestion.

Specifically, the instructions on joining the 2 suggested groups don't work as stated. I have still not found the FSC technical support group, so unable to join that one.

@BryantJR Try the following link:
If that doesn't work, Click on the "circled" ? mark (upper right corner); then select "Community"; then select "My Groups" or search Groups for "Technical Support Group". That should bring you to the area.

I note that Help Article 914, ‘Resources for new FamilySearch Center Coordinators’ has been updated on November 13 and November 20, 2024. The updates are very helpful.
I note that under the heading “Family Search Center Portal”, is written ‘in Central Europe, reporting these figures is currently not required’. This information should be under the heading “Monthly Reports”. (as it was in the previous Oct 24, 2024 revision).
I also note that once the above sentence about Central America is taken from the heading “FamilySearch Center Portal”, there would be no information under that heading in the current Nov 20 2024 Article revision. In the May 8, 2023 revision of the Article, under the heading FamilySearch Center Services Portal”, was written, “The FamilySearch Center Services Portal is the starting point to access FamilySearch websites and other services available to FamilySearch Center patrons. Make the portal the home page on each browser.” The access website for the portal through FamilySearch was then given as a link, as well as a link to the help Article ‘FamilySearch Center Premium Content Browser Extension’.
Information about the FamilySearch Center Portal is very helpful to have. The Heading “FamilySearch Center Portal” is much clearer than the old heading “FamilySearch Center Services Portal”. May I suggest introductory sentences such as: “The FamilySearch Center Portal is the starting point to access the other premium family history websites available at the FamilySearch Center. When opening the computers at the Center, and choosing a browser to open, the computers are configured to open two home screens, the FamilySearch sign in page and the FamilySearch Center Portal page. As well visitors/guests to the Center can use their own laptops or devices to access the premium websites while at the Center using the ‘Liahona’ wifi network, by adding the extension for FamilySearch Center Premium Content.”
Then links could be given to the Help Articles which are specific for the Portal, such as Article 6335 October 17, 2024 ‘Using the FamilySearch Center Portal’, Article dated October 17, 2024 [*without an Article number] titled ‘FamilySearch Center Resources Accessible at all Church Meetinghouses’, and Article 13319 October 17, 2024 ‘How to use the FamilySearch Center Premium Content extension’ .

Sorry, my above discussion should read "Central Europe', not 'Central America'.

I would like to make a further suggestion for Help Article 914, ‘Resources for new FamilySearch Center Coordinators’.
A section could be added to the Article, entitled ‘Center Tools and the Center Location Page’.
The introductory sentence below the title could be:
‘FamilySearch has introduced ‘Center Location pages’ to help potential visitors to the Center find information about their local FamilySearch Centers, including location, operational status, and available resources. [I have here used the wording from the Help Article 24080 October 17, 2024, with some revision]. Additional sentences could include: ‘Visitors can go online to find nearby Centers, using the locate features on the FamilySearch website. It is important for Center coordinators to keep this information current by using Center Tools’.
A link could then be provided to the Article 24080 (October 17, 2024) ‘Center Tools Instruction’.
If it is considered that the information about Center Tools and how to use it is sufficient in the current revision (Nov 20, 2024) of the Help Article 914 and the FamilySearch Center Operations Guide, then I would recommend adding as an additional ‘Related Article’ at the bottom of the Help Article 914, the Article 24080 ‘Center Tools Instruction’.
