I'm running into a Catch-22 when working on profiles for persons who were born in Ontario, Canada before 1867. If British Colonial America is shown as the place of birth, the Profile Quality Score is absent.
If Canada is used as the place of birth, the following error is shown:
Alfred C Kelly L5JJ-65T https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/L5JJ-65T and his siblings are examples of this issue.
We covered a slightly different Canadian placename issue in a previous post back in October: https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/152878/the-place-is-the-same-but-the-algorithm-doesnt-recognize-it#latest That one has been greatly improved. Thank you.
Windows 10, Firefox 123.0 64-bit, both fully updated.
Thanks.

Looks like we were including:
- Canada (1867 - Present)
- Canada, New France (1534 - 1867)
Now we will also include
- British Colonial America (1607 - 1867)
This will probably go live Friday or Monday with a few other changes.

FYI, this should be fixed as of March 13th... let me know if you are still having similar issues.

Thanks, @roberthparker3. That one is fixed. I'm still struggling with some other early Canadian profiles/records because the placename on the record is not in the places database. But, that's not a PQS issue.
