Another translation, please
Hi I have another translation that does not seem to make sense… the name Carl Robert Oehme appears on the second page of this Dresden marriage record, but I am not sure why. Nonetheless, his name is what links two different mutual DNA matches of mine. Can you help?

Hermine Amalie Pauline Engler's section says she was born 13 MAR 1856 in Schwiebus in Silesia, residing in Dresden, Maternistrasse 4 IV, daughter of the deceased master shoemaker's daughter Pauline Engler, last residing in Fraustadt in Silesia.

This is the marriage record for Gustav Emil Müller and Hermine Amalie Pauline Engler.
Carl Robert Oehme is named as the second witness to the marriage. There is no indication of his relationship to the spouses; probably just an acquaintance or friend.

Thanks! What is strange is that this fellow, Carl Robert Oehme, is a DNA-linked ancestor of mine, as are the couple being married on this record. Is there anything to suggest what city/address any of these people are from? Or anything to suggest a relation to the Carl Robert Oehme you translated for me in this post?

Gustav Emil Müller, a joiner, was born in Grossopitz near Tharand (about 6 miles SW of Dresden), but lives in Dresden, Maternistrasse 4 IV at the time of marriage.
Hermine Amalie Pauline Engler, a house servant, was born in Schwiebus (now Poland, about 100 miles NE of Dresden), but lives at the same address as the groom at the time of marriage.
There is no information in this record that suggests a family relationship to Carl Robert Oehme, but it is not excluded either.

Maybe one other question about this record… Hermine Amalie Pauline Engler's section says she was born 13 MAR 1856 in Schwiebus illegible, residing in Dresden illegible, daughter of illegible Engler, resident of illegible.
Can you make out those illegible parts? This may help me find her parentage and the possible links to Carl Robert Oehme and his wife's Weissbrodt family in Schwiebus.0 -
lol, so that begs the question, who is the master shoemaker? But this is starting to come full circle, as my Weissbrodt ancestors hail from Fraustadt. I'll start looking around for a Fraustadt directory, many thanks, and glad I asked!
